GOVT. UTKRISHT SR. SEC. SCHOOL (GIRLS) ROHRU

Utkrisht GGSSS Rohru situated in the lap of historical Panchbasa surrounded by high hill mountain ranges, 
scenic beauty & soothing vibes of Chanshal Valley, has its vast scattered campus located in the centre of village 
Dashalni covering the area of land around "22 Bighas”. Since its inception the school has glorious history & 
remarkable records of success in all spheres. It came into being after the independence firstly as Primary school 
& later upgraded to Middle standard. In 1959 again upgraded to High school & then in 1999 aggrandized to Sr. 
Sec. School with a strength of 250 girls in Arts &Commerce faculties while Science classes were being run in 
Govt. Boys School Rohru. In 2007 Science classes were also shifted from GBSSS Rohru to here. Presently, the 
school has 2campuses from 6th to 10th in old building while 11 &12th classes in new campus divided into 
Arts Block, Science Block & Examination Hall. The school has 3 playgrounds with its big infrastructure. One 
more block for 6th to 10th is under construction& there is a provision of hostel which is still to be constructed.

Efficient staff: Destiny of any country is shaped in to the class rooms. A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge& wisdom in the pupils. Our school has a team of dedicated hard-working teachers with a great sense of duty & utmost professional attitude. They are assigned various tasks & charges beside teaching. Parents-Teachers Interaction Parents are always encouraged to take active participation in all affairs & activities related to the progress & welfare of their wards. There are 3 general houses in a year-1" in the beginning of school within 15 days, 2 in the month of Sept. & 3" on the closing of the school in December. To ensure better communication there is a provision of SMC & class wise, faculty wise, WhatsApp groups have also been formulated. Parents are always welcome to enquire about the progress of their wards from the concerned teachers.
